Mission
The mission of the ISU is to, at all times, promote the highest standards of urological care for all patients on the island of Ireland (through training and education, research, and in the formulation of health care policy and training pathways)
Aims and Objectives
To organise and act as a representative body for urologists and affiliated specialists in order to advance and promote their legitimate professional interests, and to advance the continued development of urology and all its subspecialties, on the island of Ireland.
To foster the highest standards of urological care in all sites of clinical practice throughout the island of Ireland.
To encourage and promote urological research and to make results known.
To contribute to the establishment/development and maintenance of standards inurological training and practice throughout Ireland.
To provide direction and guidance to relevant health care authorities regarding development and structuring of clinical urological services, including consultant appointments.
To contribute to the determination of Irish/ Northern Irish urological health care policy development and delivery.
To disseminate pertinent and high quality urological information to patients and the general public.
